Over 500 hectors of paddy fields submerged under water

Incessant rains in the state during the last couple of days had submerged several paddy field and homestead land at many parts of Thoubal district.
According to reports, around 500 hectors of paddy fields at Tentha , Khangabok and Sangaiyumpham area have been completely submerged under water. Besides many villagers of the said places has been displaced as their homes have also been submerged under water.
According to villagers the Wanging River suddenly rise at afternoon today and later started overflowing resulted inundation of the area.
