The Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak, has expressed its condolences following the tragic loss of two revolutionary cadres along the Indo-Myanmar border on March 25, 2025.
The party mourned the passing of Lieutenant Angom Ingo @ Shanatomba (37), a member of the KYKL / MYL, and Lance Corporal Maibam Naotonbi @ Natngakpa Meitei (18) from PREPAK (Progressive), who both lost their lives during an intense confrontation at the border between India and Myanmar. The tragic incident occurred while they were engaged in revolutionary activities, reflecting their dedication and sacrifice for the cause of the revolution.
SOREPA offered its heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen heroes, including the family of Lt. Angom Ingo from Phayeng Mayai Leikai and Lance Corporal Maibam Naotonbi from Serou Makha Leikai. The party emphasized the courage and commitment of the two revolutionaries, noting that their deaths in the line of duty would forever be remembered by the revolutionary movement in Kangleipak/Manipur and the wider region.
In a statement, SOREPA reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the struggle for freedom, recognizing that the sacrifices made by these revolutionaries will not be in vain. The party called on its members and supporters to honor their memory by remaining steadfast in the pursuit of justice and independence for the people of Kangleipak/Manipur.
SOREPA expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and promised to uphold their legacy in the ongoing struggle for the region’s liberation.
