Leimarol Leiremba Nishaband today observed its silver jubilee celebration at Kwakeithel Haorokchambi Leikai. As a part of the celebration a Meira Paibee Shanglen was also inaugurated during the function.
The chief guest of the function, RK Imo Singh, MLA, Sagolband A/C said that he is doing his best to improve the condition of the roads and transportation for his constituency and will try to complete the action within two years of his term. The electricity supply of the state is far better comparing to four or five years back and it will only get better. He further said that at some part water supply facility is not available which will be fixed very soon. He appreciated the locals of Kwakeithel for donating the land for constructing the Shanglen. He further said that the construction was done from the local area development fund with the budget of Rupees 1.15 Lakhs. He also extended his condolence to the families of the armies who were killed in Thursdays’ ambush at Chandel
Attending the function as guest of honour, Khongbantabam (o) Kshetrimayum Randhoni Devi, President, Leimarol Leiremba Nishaband Meira Paibee Lup said that the function was being organised in commemoration of the outbreak of protest against the construction of police outpost at Kwakeithel.
