Veteran journalists Ningthoukhongjam Tombiraj and Salam Bharatbushan have been elected as the advisor of the All Manipur Working Journalist Union for the current year 2015-17. The union also elected Chongtham Ngongo as legal advisor. Seven other press club management committee namely – Imocha Elangbam of Ireibak daily, Dhanabir Maibam of IFP, A Chandani of Athouba journal, Nomita Khongbantabam of Hueiyen Lanpao daily, S Maniton of Kangla Pao, Ramananda Leishangthem of IMPACT TV and Taorem Bishwajit of Sanaleibak daily , are also elected for the term, said a press release of AMWJU General Secretary Jit Ningombam. The AMWJU Gen. Secy. statement said that a get together function of the new office bearers will be held on June 14. Dy. CM Gaikhangam and some other Ministers are attending the get together function, added the statement. On the occasion the new Secretary of IJU and Vice President of AMWJU will also be felicitated.
