Aadhaar Card is made mandatory for the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
A notice has been circulated by both the Directorate of the PMEGP, and the office of the commissioner Khadi and Village Industry stating that Aadhaar card number should be filled in the application under PMEGP.
The measure is to ensure transparency in the process as well as identification of the applicant’s status. The circular has directed field offices to enclosed Aadhaar card number for every applicant before DTFC.
The suitable mandatory provision has been incorporated in the e-tracking system, so as to indicate the Aadhaar card number in the e-tracking module. The Aadhaar card number of applicant incorporate in application which were already cleared by the DTFC and yet to be forwarded to banks.
The PMO has directed to all state divisional office of KVIC, KVIB and DIC take up necessary action for compliance with immediate effect.
