Water levels stable in Manipur, no rainfall recorded in last 24 hours

According to the daily flood report issued by the Water Resources Department, Manipur, no significant rainfall was recorded across the major river basins in the state during the last 24 hours. Rain gauges at Kangpokpi (Imphal River), Saikul (Iril River), Lilam (Thoubal River), Raj Bhawan, Lamphel, and Jiribam reported NIL rainfall from 6 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today.
River water levels remain below the flood warning thresholds. At 6 a.m. today, the Imphal River at Minuthong measured 784.75 m, Lilong 781.40 m, Iril at Irilbung Bridge 785.50 m, Nambul at Humb Bridge 781.33 m, Narmtol at Nambol Bridge 773.00 m, Thoubal at Thoubal Bridge 780.25 m, and Manipur River at Ithai Barrage 769.12 m.
The report noted that all gates of Ithai Barrage are opened, while Imphal Barrage gates I–IV are fully open and Gate No. V remains closed. Saramshang Regulator gates are fully closed, and at Thoubal Barrage, gates No. V & V are opened at 1.0 m and 3.0 m respectively.
