Community facilitators warn of agitation over pending honorarium

Community Facilitators (CFs) working under the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) demanded for immediate payment of the honorarium which is pending for the last 18 months and have cautioned of agitation, mass resignation and disruption of rural livelihood activities if their dues are not settled within three days.

The affected CFs of Haochong, Nungba, Noney and Khoupum blocks claimed that the delay in payment of honorarium had created serious financial problem for them and they have to incur travelling expenses for monitoring SHG activities.

They stated that a joint representation was submitted to the State Mission Director, MSRLM on May 21 for early settlement of their dues, but no payment has been made so far.

The CFs requested the Chief Minister, the concerned Minister, MSRLM authority and the elected representatives to take immediate steps for settling the matter and provide a proper schedule for the same.
