Transporters’ bodies agreed to co-operate among one anothers

Imphal, Dec 16: Transporters’ bodies operating at various part of Yairipok area in Imphal East district had agreed to co-operate one another and resolved not to file case against one group to another group in a meeting held today at Pureiromba Community Hall, Andro.
The resolution was unanimously agreed in a joint sitting of the members of the Immortal Jeep, Diesel Auto, Tata Magic Taxi owner’s Cooperative Society Limited and Yairipok Thambalnu Diesel Auto, Tata Iris Transport Cooperative Society Limited today morning. The meeting while agreed upong to follow the bye law of their respective organization also resolved to impose fine of Rs. 5 Lakhs to the organization which move to the court.
The General Secretary of the All Yairipok Drivers’ Association L. Surjit, who also attended that meeting, said that allegation level by a diesel auto driver identified as Md. Farid Shah in his own interest to malign the image of both the association, which was published through some local newspaper on Dec 15,  as false and appealed any drivers or individual to come to the associations if they have any grievances. He also appealed the auto driver not to repeat such act in future
