DESAM urges MPSC to call off the test for recruitment of Asst. Profs.

DESAM urges Manipur Public Service Commission, (MPSC) to call off the screening test for the recruitment of Asst Professors for vacant post in 28 Government colleges in Manipur.
DESAM president Angamba told media persons in a meeting held here in its office at Keishampat that the notification regarding recruitment of the post of Asst. Professor which was released on 15 November 2014 was not clear and it provokes controversies.
In the notice he said, it was mentioned that the applicants should have passed NET/SLET or SET in minimum qualification. It was also mentioned that as per UGC latest regulation (2009) that those candidates who registered for Ph.D or declared the degree after 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET or SET. While of those before 2009 must have NET/SLET or SET. And 600 applicants have already rejected in this criteria, he added.
He further said this will be an act of sabotaging the career of the students.
