Imphal, April 14:

As armed rebel group, Kangleipak Communist Party celebrates 44th Birth Anniversary, Ibungo Ngangom, Chairman of the Politburo Standing Committee, KCP, in his message emphasized that the very existence of Kangleipak faces a significant threat due to the misguided actions of political authorities in New Delhi. It was noted that patriotic forces, which once played a crucial role in safeguarding Kangleipak and curtailing cross-border narco-terrorism, have been systematically weakened for political gains, particularly during the 2000s and 2010s, the chairman said in his message.
It added that the Operation All Clear, initiated with the approval of the Government of Manipur and executed by the Army and Assam Rifles, resulted in the loss of control over the hills of Kangleipak to certain narco-terrorist elements, exacerbating the ongoing intercommunal conflict. Despite the presence of Indian armed forces and state police, central authorities have allowed the situation to escalate, contributing to the perpetuation of fabricated narratives and exacerbating tensions between communities. The message also highlighted the shift towards a Hindu Rashtra in India, with democratic values being undermined and investigative agencies being politicized. It warned of the impending challenges for Kangleipak within the Union of India and urged the populace to prepare for potential shifts in the political landscape.
Regarding the ongoing conflict between the Meetei/Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities, the Politburo chairman said that geopolitical factors have influenced the Government of India’s response, with certain armed insurgent groups playing a role in India’s strategic interests in Myanmar. The importance of honest dialogue between the warring communities was stressed, along with the need to address genuine concerns on both sides.
The message also acknowledged the prevalence of propaganda in cyberspace, particularly targeting the Meetei/Meitei community, and called for coordinated efforts to counter such narratives. It emphasized the Party’s commitment to upholding progressive principles and condemned acts of violence against civilians.
Regarding economic exploitation by trade and transport syndicates, it was noted that certain entities have prioritized personal gains over community interests, contributing to the empowerment of ethnicity-based groups at the expense of the people of Kangleipak. The Party pledged to address these syndicates firmly to safeguard community interests.
Ibungo Ngangom while expressing gratitude to the people of Kangleipak for their ongoing support, underscored the Party’s commitment to their well-being and the preservation of Kangleipak’s socio-cultural fabric.
