A 38 hours state wide Bandh has been announced by “JAC against the brutal killing of Sapam Robinhood @ Thoi” from 5am of July 28 to 7pm of July 29 if the state government fails to suspend the state security personnel responsible for the death of Sapam Robinhood, a press release by the JAC stated. Alleging government apathy towards the demand for bringing those state security personnel responsible for the death of Robinhood to justice, the release announced the bandh today and appealed to the public to come out in support of the bandh and to stage protest marches, sit-in-protests and other activities to force the arrogant government into action. However, medical emergencies, persons engaging in essential services like medical team and staffs of both private and government hospitals will be excluded from the bandh. The JAC also condemned the MLA of Heingang Kendra N Biren for failing to deliver on his assurance of helping in bringing the killers to justice and declared an indefinite boycott of the MLA. The release also adds that the JAC have obtained information about some unscrupulous individuals collecting money in its name and warns to refrain from continuing the exercise or risk retaliations by the public.
