BJP Manipur Pradesh today celebrated 36th foundation day of Bharatiya Janata Party in various part of the state. The main function was held at its head office of Keishampat Nityaipat Chuthek today.
Chief guest of the today function and also in-charge of the state Prahlad Patel while speaking on the occasion recalled on how the BJP was born. In his speech Prahlad Patel said that the root of BJP emerges after the formation of Janna Sangha in 1952. He said in 1977, the Janna Sangha merged with the Janata Party but according to ideological differences the BJP was form in April 6, 1980.
While appealing the fellow BJP workers and office bearers to strengthen the party, Prahlad said all party worker should welcome new comer in the party.
“People started liking BJP because of the ideology and its works as well as due to appreciation of its leader”, the BJP leader said. He further added that BJP is now the only political party which is an alternative to Congress and at a time when people are fed up of the Congress mis-governance, it is natural that people who want a change to join the party.
“Each and every workers of the BJP should show respect to senior leaders and besides new comers should be shown the best courtesy in order to attract more new comers to the party.
Prahlad appreciated the tolerance of each party workers and their commitments to bring the party as one of the most popular political party in the country.
He said the foundation day is being observed at 60 Mandal office across the state and from next year the foundation day will be observed at booth level too.
The Manipur Pradesh BJP will observed 6 major occasion in a year including a function to show heartiest respect to one of the Manipuri Martyrs. However, the state executive committee will decide on whom to be remembered.
