Imphal, Nov 18: The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JACAATB) Churachandpur has expressed strong resentment over the imposition of counter blockade by valley base people in all tribal inhabited districts in response to the economic blockade called by the UNC. In a statement JAc stated that the UNC called the economic blockade at Naga inhabited area and Churachandpur do not comes under the UNC’s jurisdiction.
“Although the blockade was imposed by the UNC in all Naga-dominated districts, there have been repeated incidents of counter blockades by the dominant Valley-dwelling community on vehicles ferrying goods to all the tribal districts including Churachandpur District, the only tribal hill district not covered by the UNC’s Economic Blockade”, the statement said.
The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JACAATB) further stated that it fails to comprehend the move of the dominant Valley community, and believes that such actions only brings to the fore the deep divide and irreconcilable differences between the indigenous hill tribes of present Manipur and the dominant Valley-dwelling community.

The JACAATB warns such such communally-motivated activities of the Valley dwellers solely aimed at bringing hardships to the tribal peoples of Churachandpur District; any further report of counter blockade incidents on all vehicles carrying goods to Churachandpur District shall result in a much more severe blockade on all vehicles carrying goods from Churachandpur District to Manipur Valley from November 21, the statement added.

Now, when you start feeling the pain you came out with lame excuse that you are not under the fold of UNC. Hitherto you people did not left any opportunity in supporting the nefarious designs of these self-proclaimed, unrepresented coercive group, UNC. It’s a chain reaction of their action which we all are suffering where large populations comprised of not only meiteis, but muslims, different tribal populations from all hill district. We are also suffering, so no easy solutions, let’s hope everything normalized by January next year. At least they need to be taught a lesson that when they commit something, be ready to face the music of their actions.

Why do you keep silence when the UNC calls economic blockades? ? Does this not affect you people living in churchandpur ??? Why don’t you raise voice against such illegal economic blockades? ??? If u feel the pain just think how much pain we are facing in the valleys? ??

JACAAB remains silent when economic blockade has been carried out by UNC because either they feel happy when valley people suffer due to blockade…or they fear UNC… But when counter economic blockade is carried out by valley people they began to know the suffering…

No need to blame valley people….
If u want to blame then blame UNC….

No valley people want blockade …
Many people are facing grave problems of price hike and lack of essential household items..
