The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Manipur informed that the electoral roll revision process for the 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituency had been completed following a detailed house-to-house survey carried out by 81 Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
It was stated that the draft electoral rolls had been published on April 8, 2025, by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) to invite claims and objections from the public. Political parties were said to have actively engaged in the process by appointing a total of 145 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to verify the draft rolls.
Officials reported that after addressing all claims and objections, the final electoral rolls were published on May 5, 2025, and distributed to all recognised political parties for their reference.
As per Section 24(a) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, individuals not satisfied with the decision of the Electoral Registration Officer were informed that they could submit an appeal to the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Senapati. It was further mentioned that a second-level appeal could be made to the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, if dissatisfaction persisted.
The Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Ramananda Nongmeikapam, urged citizens and stakeholders to take note of the updated electoral rolls and to make use of the appeal process wherever necessary.
