In an effort to support financially struggling patients, the All Manipur United Club’s Organisation (AMUCO), in collaboration with the United Club’s Organisation of Bishnupur District (UCOBID) and the Kumbi Ideal Youth Development Organisation (KIYDO), conducted a health card enrollment program under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) at Kumbi Awang High School.
The program successfully registered approximately 110 beneficiaries for the PMJAY health card, providing access to financial assistance of up to ¹ 5 lakhs for hospitalization and treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Key figures who attended and presided over the event included Dr. Norendro Thokchom, Vice President of AMUCO; W. Basanta, President of UCOBID; L. Premjit, General Secretary of UCOBID; Th. Gopen, Finance Secretary of UCOBID; Khangembam Netaji, President of UKANCO; Nameirakpam Rajesh, General Secretary of UKANCO; and Nongmaithem Sangker, General Secretary of KIYDO. The event was graced by Lambam Deepak, District Program Coordinator for PMJAY and CMHT, as the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the program, UCOBID General Secretary L. Premjit emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bringing relief to economically vulnerable patients. He also announced plans to expand similar outreach events across various regions of Bishnupur District in the coming months.
