United National Liberation Front (UNLF) today strongly reacted against the statements made by the Home Minister Gaikhangam who is also the Deputy Chief Minister of the state in the wake of bomb blasts that took place at various places in Imphal recently.A press statement released by M. Sak-hen, Director-in-Charge of Department of Publicity of United National Liberation Front said that the very phrase ‘valley based armed group’ which was used frequently by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Gaikhangam is equal with the divide and rule policy of India. It also reminds that all the armed groups of Manipur are for the cause of the state, they do not work in separate interests as valley based or hill based. The statement also appealed to find out whether the recent bomb blasts in the state are a part of State Terrorism or are caused by miscreants or are caused by revolutionaries.UNLF’s statement added that the state government is responsible for the sheer difference between the rich and poor. It further asked to the Home Minister of the state to learn more information about Nagaland instead of saying “in Nagaland, the place where rebel groups originated, there is no bomb blasts and no ransom culture”.
