UKLF likely to interfere ADCC poll in Chandel

Imphal, May 2: The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) is likely to interfere the ensuing 5th Autonomous District Council Election 2015 at Kuki dominated area in Chandel district. Source said that the party convened a meeting for all the intending candidate in Chandel district on April 25.
Three intending candidates namely Limkhojam Haokip of 24-Tolbung ADCC, Jangkhothang Mate, of 18-Songjang ADCC and Jilkhopao Touthang of 22- Sugnu in Chandel district, while speaking to Universal News Agency that the UKLF had ordered other candidate not to file nomination except their selected candidates in the five ADCC constituencies. 
According to the UNA report, the UKLF had threatened capital punishment to those who stood against  Ngamkholal Baite in 22-Sugnu Hill Area, Thongkhothang Khongsai in 24- Tolbung, Seikhothang Haokip in 18- Songjang, Thangsuankap Tungdim in 23- Sajiktampak and Chanthoi Aimol in 7- Aimol area. The rebel group wanted the 5 candidate to be declared uncontested.
