Chandel, Nov 5:
Oak Hill Christian Academy in Chandel hosted its inaugural Student-Led Conference 2024 on the school campus, creating an engaging platform for students to exhibit their skills and confidence-building abilities. Under the theme “An Exclusive Platform That Builds Confidence in Your Child,” the event brought together students from Nursery to Class X, showcasing their knowledge through various subject-based stalls.
During the event, teachers guided students to present their learnings through hands-on, practical demonstrations. These student-led stalls offered an interactive experience for parents and guardians, who were invited to observe and discuss the students’ progress and understanding across different subjects.
The school emphasized the importance of the conference as a unique learning opportunity designed to foster public speaking skills and confidence among students. Kennedy, a parent present at the event, noted that the initiative was a refreshing approach in the district, underscoring Oak Hill Christian Academy’s commitment to encouraging active learning and community involvement.
Parents expressed appreciation for the physical examples and practical applications students presented, which offered a deeper understanding of the curriculum beyond traditional classroom learning. This initiative is expected to become a recurring event, serving as a constructive platform for students’ personal growth and development.
Principal Huten Francis highlighted that the conference aimed to bridge the gap between students’ learning and parental engagement, offering a space for students to independently present their skills.
