Imphal Oct 1: Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF)’s Publicity Secretary, Roben Khuman in a press statement appealed to the people of the state not to believe the tricks of Indian Occupational Forces.
The press statement alleges that the occupational forces are organizing Civic Action Program in one hand and torturing innocent people of the state on the other hand.
Mentioning a list of incidents wherein Indian Occupational Forces torture innocent people, the statement said that the occupational forces do whatever they want in Manipur. Apart from cheating the people of the state the corrupt occupational forces steal from their own work as well.
It further mentioned that the occupational force tortured the villagers of Old Somtal following a bomb blast injuring some personnel of Assam Rifles. All the villagers have been detained in the public ground of the village from morning till late in the evening. Besides, Assam Rifles expelled two families from the village.
After torturing the people Assam Rifles organized free medical camp and other programs under Civic Action Program.
However, the dishonesty of Indian Occupational Forces are again revealed by Tehelka by exposing a news of taking 30% from contract works by Assam Rifles officers.
