Non-local’s name appears in voters’ list of two different wards

Imphal Oct 1: While various organizations are demanding implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state, a non-local, non-local’s name was found to be enrolled in the voters’ list of two different wards in Khangabok A/C, the Assembly Segment of MLA Landhoni, wife of Manipur Chief Minister, O. Ibobi.

The non-local whose name was appeared in the voters’ list of two different wards has been identified as one Raaj Singh, s/o Samol of Rangekari under Silchar District, Assam. He is presently residing at Khangabok with his wife who hails from Manipur.

It is said that he used a fake name called Moirangthem Raaj Singh, s/o M Mani in the voters’ list. This was appeared in the voters’ list of Ward No. 15/10 and 15/5 of 35/7 Khangabok A/C.

Speaking to media persons regarding the matter, president of Rising Union Club (RUC), Khangabok, Moirangthem Sarat said that the non-local allegedly beat up a member of Rising Union Club after consuming intoxication. He has been handed over to Khangabok Police along with wife by the local Meira Paibis.
