Proscribed group RPF today denied any hands to the looting of gold (14 Tula) and Rs. 4.5 lakhs from a jewelry house called “Opendro Jewelry Works” at RIMS road owned by one Khumanthem Opendro (37), son of Kh. Modhu of Naoremthong Khumanthem Leikai on October 18. In a press statement issued by Bangkim, Chief Department of Publicity, RPF, the outfit said that it had never looted any properties from the people since it existed. The statement also said that there is no member called James@Boy in the RPF and no work of the party has been allotted to the said person. While terming that act as an attempt to malign the image of the party, the RPF statement said that the party will investigate the matter and will find out the truth. It also blamed the colonial force for the kind of crime committed towards civilians.
