JCILPS continues relay hunger strike

Imphal, Aug 10: Relay hunger strike being underway at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai community hall under the aegis of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) demanding implementation of ILPS and lifting of wanted tag from former JCILPS convenor Kh Ratan continues.
Around 50 students of School of Nursing, Khabeisoi, Porompat, Imphal-East today took part in the relay hunger strike protest.
Speaking to the media persons, a student protestor said that the present ruling government must find a permanent solution for implementation of ILPS instead of looking for adjustment with the people of the state. She said the protest is not only for the people who are participating but is for all the indigenous people of the state.
JCILPS Women Wing began the relay hunger strike since August 3 at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai community hall demanding implementation of ILPS in the State and withdrawal of the wanted tag on Kh Ratan.
