A Joint team of representatives from India and Myanmar is likely to survey the route alignment for Indo-Myanmar Bus service from January 11 to 15, 2015.A reliable source said that the state government has received proposal from the Ministry of External Affairs BM Division of Myanmar. A team of Myanmar Government officials will reach Imphal on January 11, 2015 in this regard.The source further mentioned that the Myanmar delegation will be led by U San Aung, DG Rail Transport along with U Than Toe Aung, U Kyaw Kyaw, U Aung Soe, U Kyaw Thu Zaw respectively and the delegation of India will be led by one officer from Ministry of External Affairs Government of India and he will be accompanied by two Superintending Engineer from Ministry of Road and Transport.For the joint survey, Ministry of External Affairs has advised that state government of Manipur to nominate its representative and confirm the same at the earliest. The Ministry also asked the state Government to receive delegates from Myanmar and to make the arrangements for their stay in the state.Both countries delegates will stay in Imphal in the night of January 11 and January 15, 2015.
