While expressing displeasure over the indefinite closure of government and private educational institutions, students of Ibotonsana Government Girls Higher Secondary School has said that the ongoing movement for implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the state is not a war between two enemies.
The present movement for protection of indigenous people and demand for introduction of a bill to issue permit to non-locals is a request by the people of Manipur to its government, said a release from the school students’ union.
The union also demanded to bring a solution to the demand for ILP system in Manipur at the earliest.
The Union further said that they had never attend the meeting of the Joint Committee of the Higher Secondary School which has been shutting the schools of the state. It said that closing of school is not the final solution and in -order to strengthen the movement schools need to be re-open.
