GPRN tightens grip on Indo-Myanmar border, restricts outbound movement of commodities

Hebron/Ukhrul, June 18:
The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has imposed immediate restrictions on the outbound movement of all commodities, including petroleum products and their derivatives, toward Myanmar as part of intensified measures along the Indo-Myanmar border.

According to a General Information notification issued on June 17 by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the directive follows Order No. 06/GPRN/NA/ORD-40/YO/26 dated June 15, 2026, issued by the Yaruiwo under the title “Strict Monitoring Along Indo-Myanmar Border.”

The order mandates a complete restriction on the movement of goods from Nagalim areas toward Myanmar and authorizes the Naga Army to enforce the directive. The Naga Army has been empowered to conduct strict round-the-clock surveillance and monitoring along the entire stretch of the Indo-Myanmar border until further orders are issued.

The GPRN stated that the measure is aimed at strengthening vigilance and ensuring effective monitoring of activities along the border region. Authorities have urged the public to take note of the restrictions and cooperate with the monitoring mechanisms put in place.

The notification was issued for public information and awareness by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), NSCN/GPRN.
