Imphal-Guwahati bus service continues; 4 buses reached Imphal

The Imphal-Guwahati passenger bus service continued for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, with five buses and seven Winger vehicles departing from Imphal around 1 pm for Dimapur and Guwahati. Meanwhile, 4 buses travelling from Guwahati with 90 passenger reached Imphal at around 4 pm today.

A total of 187 passengers travelled in the five passenger buses, while 258 passengers were accommodated in the seven Winger vehicles. The services operated despite the prevailing security concerns along the Imphal-Dimapur route.

The continued operation of the passenger service has provided an important transport link between Manipur and Assam, particularly for people travelling for medical treatment, education, business and other essential purposes.

Meanwhile, 4 Guwahati-Imphal-bound passenger buses with 90 passenger reached Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Khuman Lampak, Imphal without any disturbances at around 4 pm today. The resumption and continued operation of the service has brought relief to passengers who had faced difficulties travelling between Manipur and neighbouring states following disruptions along the highway.
