Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) today conferred Chingoo Maichou Khongnangthaba Award to four teachers on its 13 Foundation Day.
The 13th Foundation Day of the students’ body which was observed at the Centenary Hall of Manipur University under the theme “Refraining politics from Government’s role in Education” was attended by Dr. Ng Bijoy Singh, Chairman, Manipur Pollution Control Board, Moirangthem Angamba, president DESAM Head Office, MK Preshow Shimray Deputy Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly, Prof. RK Hemakumar, Dean of Students’ Welfare, Manipur University, Pamei Tingenlung, President, All Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland and Paotinthang Lupheng, President KSO General Head Quarters as chief guest, president and guests of honor respectively.
The four teachers who have been honored today by conferring Chingoo Maichou Khongnangthaba Award for delivering outstanding performance to bring quality education in the state are Thounaojam Manglemba Singh, Head Master, Wangoi Junior High School, Sinam Indrani Devi, Principal, Churachand Higher Secondary School, Huidrom Nabakumar Singh, Assistant Head Master and Lourembam Nabakumar Singh, Lecturer, Lilong Higher Secondary Madrasa Lilong.
