The class X going student of Grace English School Cachar, Uajan Terapur in Cachar who was reported to have died in a suspicious manner was brought back today at Imphal. The deceased Sanasam Deyabi Singh (16) s/o of S. Jiten singh of Wangoo Mamang Sabal leikai has been deposited at JINMS morgue as according to the demand of the students’ body DESAM.
Earlier the deceased mother S. Sumila Devi said that, her son was studying since class seven at Grace English school, Uajan Tarapur of Cachar District of Assam.
She said that on May 20 they got a message at her husband’s phone from an unknown number, however the message received was read on May 21 morning due to the dead of cell phone. The message read “dad called to madam”. When they called to the school principal Jacop’s wife Grace Hamid to speak with her son, Grace Hamid reply that her son was studying so could not talk with him. But when they called again the wife of the principal never receive the call.
She added that on May 22 morning at around 10 am their relative inform that her son was hospitalized after he felts at the pond of the school. When they contacted the school principal’s wife, they come to know that her son was dead. Later on the evening without any permission from family, the school authority conducted post mortem.
General secretary of DESAM, P.Premchandra had demanded to post mortem the corpse at Imphal once again, and urged the government to investigate the incident.
