CorCom pays revolutionary salute to UNLF VC

Imphal, June 30: CorCom has paid revolutionary salute to the former vice-chairman of UNLF central committee Ayekpam Wangpa alias Tomba alias Tona who passed away on June 28, 2017.
“Athouba Luchingba” Wangpa is an eminent leader who had led a long struggle against the policy of the Indian government to enslave the people of Kangleipak and fought the enemy without showing any sign of exhaustion. He was an exemplary leader who had motivated the young revolutionaries in the fight for independence, a statement issued by the publicity committee of CorCom stated.
It portrayed Wangpa as a very capable leader who had employed his mental and physical abilities to the fullest to bring together different revolutionary organizations operating for the same cause under a common platform. He worked endlessly to unite the revolutionary organizations and wanted the revolutionary struggle to be carried on under a single entity so as to destroy the wild schemes of the enemy, the statement said.
His death is an irreparable loss to the revolutionary movement and CorCom will forever miss him in its every single activity. CorCom shares the grief of the bereaved family and friends, it added.
