Troops of Red Shield Division apprehended an arms dealer from general area Old Bazar, Churachandpur on September 4. A PIB statement said, troops of Red Shield Division launched an operation at around 7:15 AM after getting specific report regarding the presence of an arms dealer in general area Old Bazar,. The party persistently tracked the individual till 1PM for further leads. The team acted swiftly and established a cordon when it was confirmed that the individual was in possession of a weapon. The party then apprehended the individual in the general area of Old Bazar, Churachandpur. One 9 mm Pistol along with its magazine and one mobile phone were recovered from the dealer’s possession at the time of the apprehension. The apprehendee alongwith the recoveries was later handed over to Churachandpur Police Station.
