ACOAM –Lup observes 16th Foundation day

Imphal, July 3: ACOAM Lup Kangleipak, a civil society organisation of the state today observed its 16th Foundation day at Manipur Press Club Imphal.
Ksh. Somorendro, president ACOAM Lup Kangleipak, Dr. A. Vivekananda, medical Advisor , ACOAM Lup Kangleipak and Managing director, Padma Medicare and Padma Diagnostic Centre, Y Leirik leima, President Kanglamei, RK sanahanbi, President Kill, H Ibotmbi Khuman, National awardee and Ch Pakpi Chanu President CLK attended the foundation day as dignitaries. 
ACOAM Lup Kangleipak is a civil society organisation of the state which has been taking major role to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the state in the aftermath of the threat following the signing of peace deal between the government of India as well as the NSCN-IM. The organisation also spearheaded at various public agitation for the cause of the people of the state.
Besides the ACOAM Lup has also been engaging in various activities to protect and revive the  indigenous religion of the state.
Sevreal renowned personality and civil society leaders took part in the foundation day observation.
President of the Unibted Commttee Manipur Elangbam Johnson who attended the function while speaking on the occasion said that since the merger of the erstwhile kingdom to the Indian Union Manipur has now been converted into a state which is totally dependent to the Indian Subcontinent. He said that it is now time that the people of the state have to work hard to make the state independent economically.
On the present crisis arisen out of the demand for introduction of Inner line permit System in the state, the UCM president said that as the Bill that has been passed by the state legislative assembly on Agust 31 last year has been withhold by the President of India and sent back to the state government, it is time now that all stake holders of the state including those in the hill and the valley region need to sit together and prepare a Bill which is more appropriate to all the people of the state.
President of ACOAM Lpu Kangleipal Somorendra while speaking on the occasion deliberated on the need for making a healthier society. He said youths of today need to keep themselves healthy so that they can take part in any public movement. He further added that the oragnsiation will also now monitor the functioning of the health care services in the state.
