A 3 year old baby girl saved her father and other family members from a possible major fire with her intelligence and uncanny presence of mind. The incident occurred yesterday night when the father went off to sleep with the candle burning which accidentally started catching fire with other household items. Failing to wake her father who was slowly getting surrounded by fire, the little girl fought the fire on her own and succeeded in putting it off before more serious damage can be done. The girl child is identified as Soibam Chanu Taiphathoi, the only daughter of Soibam Kumar Singh and Soibam Ongbi Velentina (Sana) Devi of Wangjing SK Leikai under Thoubal District
