Free Progressive Academy, Konthoujam, today felicitated Class X students who secured high marks while celebrating Teachers’ Day at Konthoujam Kangjeibung Community Hall. The programme was graced by the chief guest, Konthoujam AC MLA Dr. Sapam Ranjan, who lauded the students for their academic achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The Principal of the school, L. Indrakumar, reported that out of 53 students who appeared for the Class X examinations, 34 secured first division. Among 55 students who took the exams, 53 achieved first division while 2 obtained second division. The felicitation ceremony recognized these outstanding performers and acknowledged the support of donors and parents, whose cooperation has been instrumental in the students’ success.
During the event, the school also organized a demonstration to familiarize students and parents with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which will be implemented from the academic session 2026. The Principal explained that NEP 2020 focuses on holistic and student-centric learning, emphasizing critical thinking, practical understanding, and experiential activities over rote memorization. The demonstration showcased how students will engage in hands-on learning and explore concepts through real-life applications, preparing them for future academic and professional challenges.
The ceremony highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence, fostering a culture of learning, and equipping students to thrive in a rapidly evolving educational landscape. The initiative also reinforced the importance of collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community in guiding students toward success.
