The Social Workers Congress (SWC) Khongman hosted the 7th Thingujam Ongbi Nganbi Devi Memorial Football Tournament 2025 at the SWC Khongman football ground, under the theme of football development. The tournament is being organized in compliance with the guidelines of the All Manipur Football Association and is sponsored by the Thingujam Ongbi Nganbi Devi Memorial Trust, Khongman.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including Ksh Chaoba, retired Managing Director of the Manipur Spinning Mills Corporation, and former President of SWC, Khogendra Khomdram, President of the Editors Guild Manipur and Editor of Sangai Express. Th. Bhogen, representing the Donner family, and A Birendra, President of SWC, graced the event as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and President, respectively.
Following the inaugural ceremony, the opening match of the tournament saw SWC Khongman face off against SDA Kyamgei Muslim in a thrilling contest. The competition is set to foster football development in the region, highlighting the importance of community engagement and sporting excellence.
