RPF clarifies

The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has clarified that Ningthoujam Samson (30), of Leifam Ngaikhong Khunou in Bishnupur district, who was reportedly apprehended during a joint operation involving 19 Garhwal Rifles, 31 Assam Rifles and Imphal East Commandos, has no connection whatsoever with the RPF or its armed wing, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

In a press clarification signed by Bangkim, Assistant Secretary, Publicity, RPF, the outfit said Samson has no relationship with the organisation or the PLA in any matter.

The clarification came after Manipur Police reportedly identified Samson in a Facebook post concerning the joint operation carried out on August 25.

The RPF stated that the individual mentioned in the police post has no association with either the RPF or PLA.
