Daichuipao declares candidature for 51-Saitu AC ahead of 2027 polls

Daichuipao, an intending candidate for the 51-Saitu (ST) Assembly Constituency, formally declared his candidature at a Blessings Cum Candidature Declaration Programme held today at Siangai Namdai Village under Bungte Chiru Sub-Division of Kangpokpi district.

The programme was attended by a large gathering of supporters and well-wishers from across the constituency, including political leaders, former ADC members, social workers, village authority representatives, civil society organisation leaders, youth and student representatives and women leaders.

Speakers at the programme described Daichuipao as a young and dynamic leader committed to peace, unity and development. They expressed support for his candidature and said he could contribute to restoring peace and normalcy in Manipur.

The blessing ceremony was led by Rev. Ashapou Thaimei, Pastor of Kaiphundaijang Baptist Church, who prayed for guidance and wisdom for Daichuipao’s political journey.

Addressing the gathering, Daichuipao thanked supporters for their prayers and assistance and appealed to all communities in the constituency to continue extending their support.

He called for collective efforts, saying, “Let us every community work together for peace, work together for unity, together for a better 51-Saitu AC and our State Manipur too.”
