A wave of grief has swept across Manipur following the passing of Retired IPS officer and noted socio-political commentator Potshangbam Sonamani, who breathed his last on July 18 after an illness. He was 83.
Sonamani, widely respected for his unwavering commitment to public service and his insightful voice in socio-political affairs, leaves behind a legacy that resonates beyond his decorated career in the Indian Police Service. After retiring from his post as Senior Superintendent of Police in Nagaland, he shifted his focus to grassroots activism and intellectual contributions, particularly for the people of the Northeast.
