Felicitation program held at RIMS Dental College

The Dental College, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organized a felicitation program at its Examination Hall to celebrate national-level achievements, including Ministry of Health & Family Welfare awards for World Oral Health Day in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The college was also recognized by the Indian Society of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) for its initiatives during World Oral Health Day 2024 & 2025 and the Nanhi Muskan 2024 outreach program for underprivileged children.
The program was graced by Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS Imphal, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Prof. B. Praveen Reddy, Principal, Dental College, RIMS Imphal, as the Chairperson.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director noted that Dental College, RIMS—though young—has won consecutive national awards from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (2023–2025), reflecting teamwork and the leadership of Prof. B. Praveen Reddy. He added that the College’s excellence in academics, clinical care, and outreach has enhanced RIMS’ reputation, and outlined future plans for MDS courses, a Postgraduate block, and expanded facilities to drive further growth in education, research, and service.
Prof. B. Praveen Reddy, Principal, Dental College, RIMS Imphal, expressed pride in his team and emphasized that teamwork is the key to success.Since the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare introduced the award scheme in 2023, the college has excelled under the leadership of Dr. Nandita Kshetrimayum (2023), Dr. Ashish Kumar (2024), and Dr. Bhoomika (2025), earning repeated national recognition. He congratulated all faculty, residents, and staff, calling them a model of teamwork for other departments.
The program was attended by HODs, faculty members, staff and the students of the Dental College, RIMS, Imphal.
