As part of the Nation First@75 Campaign, a workshop on “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday” was held today at the Panchayat Conference Hall in Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat Office. The programme was organised by Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat, Langmeidong Community Development (CD) Block, Kakching District.
The workshop highlighted the importance of conducting special campaigns for social audits and raising awareness on their significance at the Gram Panchayat level. Discussions were also held on future planning and vision for Panchayats, along with awareness of various schemes under various departments such as Agriculture, Public Health Engineering, Social Welfare, Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM).
The line departments involved in the workshop included District Social Welfare Office, Manipur Social Audit Agency and BDO Langmeidong Office. A total of about 150 members participated in the programme along with administrative committee members, Self Help Groups, Club members, youths and concerned line departments officials, including Mayengbam Ingocha Singh (MCS), Block Development Officer, Langmeidong CD Block; Longjam Priyobrata Meitei, District Social Auditor, Manipur Social Audit Agency among others.
Similar workshop will be conducted for Mayeng Lamjao Gram Panchayat on September 24 and for Langmeidong Gram Panchayat on September 25.
It may be mentioned that Nation First @75 Campaign aims to boost development and public services, focusing on transparency and citizen involvement for better governance.
