Imphal, Nov 9:

Proscribed group People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) make straight to the call for dialogue by the Home Ministry of India saying that without the issue of sovereignty of Kangleipak, the outfit will not accept any kind of talk with the government of India.
In a statement issued by Leibaak Ngaakpa Luwang, Charge d’ Affairs , Publicity and propaganda of PREPAK, in connection with the “Athoubasinggi Ningsing Numit” (Memorial day of the Martyrs) which the armed rebel group observed every November 12, the outfit made it clear that the ongoing revolutionary movement is not a war to distort the unity of India or to hinder the developmental works being taken up in Kangleipak. The movement is to restore the Independent of Kangleipak which India had forcibly annexed on October 15, 1949 after forcing the King of Manipur Bodhachandra to sign an agreement on September 21, 1949.
The PREPAK statement also question on why the draconian act AFSPA has been enforced in the region while such act are not being used in Maoist affected areas in the other part of India. This showed that Kangleipak is considered as a colony by the Indian authority, the PREPAK added.
The proscribed group PREPAK made the above reply in connection with the statement dated October 29, 2021, of the Home department which called on all armed rebel groups to have dialogue.
The PREPAK also strongly reacted to the calling of armed rebel groups as “Misguided Youths” saying that the movement has a genuine cause and the movement is to free Kangleipak from the clutch of India.
The PREPAK observed every November 12 as Martyrs Memorial Day to commemorate the bloody killing of their cadres along with another from PLA at Kameng by CRPF on this day of 1978 and also the gunfight between security force and at Kabowakching on this day of 1985.
