The 24 hours general strike called by the VDF has failed to give any impact to the life of Imphal city. However, the general strike affected normalcy at Bishenpur bazaar. Almost all shops and business establishment were remained shuts in the district during the general strike. On the other hand inter- district bus service was put to a complete halt due to the general strike.
