A vehicle lifter was caught red handed by locals of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai on Tuesday morning while he was trying to steal a two wheeler vehicle parked in front of Saajan office located at the bank of Nambul River at Mayokpha area of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai Imphal. A partner of the vehicle lifter managed to escape from the scene. Angry locals of the area started thrashing the person and later handed over to Imphal West Police. As according to a driving license found from his pocket, the vehicle lifter is identified as Rabi son of Shabir of Lillong Hoareibi Mayai Leikai.
