UNC leader Gaidon Kamei prevented from attending CCpur JAC meeting

Imphal, Aug 31: President of the United Naga Council (UNC) Gaidon kamei was today forced to return back without attending the meeting organised by the Churachandpur JAC which is spearheading an anti ILPS Bill protest today.
Report said that the UNC President, Gaidon Kamei, also convenor of Outer Manipur Tribal forum, was stopped by a group of people at Mangleinphai area in Churachandpur district while coming to attend the meeting scheduled today at Churachandpur district head quarter.
Even MP from Assam Bishwajit Daimary was also also forced to return back from the area by the group pf people who have differences with the JAC formed against the ILPS related Bills.
The JAC has been organising series of demonstration including shutting down of the town for 12 hours and staging of sit-in-demonstration and mass rally in Churachandpur district in connection with the observance of Tribal Unity Day today.
The day is observed by the JAC Churachandpur to commemorate the mass uprising at Churachandpur last year against the passing of the ILPS related Bills. Nine tribal youth were killed in the uprising whose death body still is kept without performing the last right.
