Tibetan Medicine Clinic Offers one month free consultation for all at its Imphal Branch

Men- Tsee- Khang Clinic specialized in Tibetan Traditional Medicine (Sowa Rigpa), Imphal Branch offers Free Consultation for one month starting from 16th July 2020 till 16th August 2020. The clinic is located on the premises of the Manipur International University (MIU) Administrative Headquarters at Ghari Awang Leikai, Near HRD Academy, Imphal. The free consultation initiative is organized keeping in mind the difficulties faced by the people of Manipur during the lockdown and is sponsored by MIU.
Men-Tsee-Khang opened its 57th branch clinic at Imphal on 1st March 2020. It is sponsored and supported by Manipur International University. Men- Tsee- Khang is the exclusive institute re-established by His Holiness Dalai Lama for the promotion, protection, and propagation of Sowa Rigpa (Sowa to heal, Rigpa Knowledge or science known as the science of healing) is a name for Ancient Tibetan Traditional Medicine which is duly recognized as a “System of Medicine” along with Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidda and Homeopathy by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. It’s Imphal clinic is headed by a highly experienced and trained resident physician and CMO, Dr. Choenyi Samdup.
Tibetan Traditional Medicine is one of the oldest medicinal practices of ancient Tibet passed down from ancestors more than 3000 years ago. This form of medical practice effectively treats many ailments including chronic ailments such as all cases of Cancer, Liver & Kidney disorders, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Piles, Arthritis (Joint pain), Insomnia, Neurological, Psychosomatic, Gynaecological and all kinds of skin problems. All the medicines are prepared using ancient techniques with pure herbal components which removes the risk of side effect/s. The Sowa-Rigpa medical practice takes a holistic approach to the treatment and wellbeing of an individual. It provides preventive measures including effective medication and its uses have been lauded tremendously worldwide.
Men-Tsee Khang has a total of 57 branch clinics in several cities across the country including cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore as well as States like Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, J&K, and West Bengal, etc. and is spread across countries like Bhutan, Mongolia, and Russia. The uniqueness of Men-Tsee-Khang is that their clinics open only through invitation and demand of the people. And the 57th Branch Clinic at Imphal is supported and sponsored by the Manipur International University.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has visited Imphal in October 2017 on the invitation of State Government and laid the foundation for the future friendship of MIU and Tibetan Government in exile. MIU and Men- Tsee- Khang has signed a historical agreement for the establishment of International Medical College and Hospital of Tibetan medicine in Manipur in Dharamsala on 12th February 2020. It was signed between the Chancellor of Manipur International University, Dr. Harikumar Pallathadka and Director of Men-Tsee-Khang (Sowa Rigpa), Tibetan Government in exile, Shri. Tashi Tsering Phuri. As a first step, it has opened its Imphal branch clinic at the premises of MIU which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Shri. Y. Khemchand in the presence of JNIMS Director, Dr. Thongam Bhimo.
Manipur International University (MIU) is an Autonomous State Statutory Public International University established, recognized and accredited by the State Government of Manipur. MIU is established by an Act of State called Manipur International University Act, 2018 and it is recognized and listed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India. It is also declared as the “International University of Excellence and an “Institution of State Importance” by the State.
Men-Tsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical & Astro Institute) (Men Medicine, Tsee Astro-Science, Khang House, or Institute) is a charitable, cultural and educational institution, registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. It is the oldest, largest, and most reputable Sowa-Rigpa Institute in India for learning, treatment, and pharmacology. It was first established by the Great XIII Dalai Lama in 1916 in Tibet and in 1961 the institute was re-established by His Holiness the Great XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamshala, India.
Men-Tsee-Khang (Sowa-Rigpa) Imphal Branch Clinic is located at the premises of Manipur International University Administrative HQ at Ghari Awang Leikai, Imphal near HRD Academy.
