“The Manipur Calendar Girl” – a beauty contest with a difference coming up

Imphal, Oct 24: Tomthin Event Management and Solution Services, Wahengbam Leikai, Imphal-West is going to organise a reality base beauty contest title “The Manipur Calendar Girl” for the first time in the history of Manipur.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul , RK. Reuben, Managing Director of Tomthin Event Management and Solution Services said that the main purpose of the event to bring out a personality, a character who can inspire people, not only in their looks but one who can characterise the true meaning of women empowerment.
The main objective of the event is “Beauty with a purpose”.
The Manipur Calendar Girl 2017-2018 is the first event in Manipur and planning to organised the event annually, he added.
Reuben also said that two contestant each will be selected after audition from 12 different places of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Moirang, kakching, Tamenglong, Churachandpur, Senapati, Ukhrul,  Maram and Chandel in Manipur and will take part in the beauty contest.
The event will be divided into three segments which include talent hunt, games and sports, show promotion, media interaction and program punctuality, etc, he added.
Reuben expressed that the beauty contest will strengthen the bond between different communities in the state.
The first audition for the event will be held on October 26, 2017 at Thoubal.
