Speaking at the programme, Bruce Pebam, President of the All Manipur Students’ Union, (AMSU) said that Kenejy, who was then a fifth semester student of DM Science and an active member of AMSU, lost his life in the explosion, while another student was injured.
He stated that violent incidents involving explosives have created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity in the state and maintained that such acts should never recur within educational institutions. The student body condemned the blast and demanded that those responsible be identified and punished according to law. It was also stated that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far.
