Imphal, July 25: In a positive move that is bound to instil encouragement to the athletes from the State, the State Government announced cash incentives to medalists participating in the ongoing Commonwealth Games from the state to the tune of Rs. 15 Lacs for Gold, Rs. 10 Lacs for silver and Rs. 8 Lacs for bronze medal. meanwhile, Sunibala Huidrom from Manipur representing India in the women’s 70 Kg category Wrestling at the ongoing 20th Commonwealth Games at Glasgow emerged victorious in her Preliminary round of 16 bout defeating M Zikhale of Botswana today. India is currently in the fourth position behind England, Australia and Scotland.
