Moreh CSO submits memorandum demanding for reduction of security check posts

Imphal, July 25:  Five main civil society organisations of Moreh had submitted memorandum to the Chief Minister of Manipur demanding for reduction of the number of security check posts between Moreh and Pallel.

Hill Tribal Council Moreh, Meetei Council Moreh, Tamil Sangam Moreh,  Manipur Muslim Council Moreh and All Community Development Organisation Moreh had stated that due to the presence of the various check post in between the route it took over 2 and half hour in travelling the 65 Km distant. It said, unloading all the goods, to pull out the removable parts of the vehicles etc. during the course of the checking kills time and keep the commuters uneasy, uncomfortable and disappointed. It said that tourist and visitors to Moreh who had come across the experience for the first time never wanted to visit Moreh again.

On the other hand the six civil society organisations also submitted another memorandum to the ChiefMinister demanding adequate numbers of doctors and Medical staff to Moreh Hospital.
