Sky Hospital announces free treatment for heart diseases

On the 72nd Independence Day of India, SKY Hospital and Research Centre which is the only full-fledged heart hospital of Manipur has been empanelled by the Government of Manipur under the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) Scheme and Ayushman Bharat (National Health Protection Mission) Scheme, Government of India. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Manipur and SKY Hospital on 15th August, 2018 at a function in Chief Minister’s Secretariat with Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri N. Biren Singh in the Chair. Shri N. Biren has handed over the MoU to Dr. L. Shyamkishore, Chairman of SKY Hospital (photo) empanelling the SKY Hospital for implementation of the schemes for free treatments of various heart diseases with immediate effect. Patients with various heart diseases holding a CMHT card or who are eligible for Ayushman Bharat(National Health Protection Mission) can avail a complete in-patient treatment of various heart diseases free of charge. The package includes the following, among others, common heart conditions and treatment modalities: Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Heart Valve Diseases, Birth Heart Defects, Palpitation, Pacemaker Implant Operation, Coronary Angioplasty with Stent, any Open Heart Surgery, Surgical Closure of Holes in the heart, Heart Valve Replacement Operation (Single/Double), Coronary Bypass Surgery (CABG), Device Closure of various holes in the heart, Balloon Dilatation of blocked heart valves, RF Ablation for various palpitation (PSVT, VT) etc.
Dr. L. Shyamkishore, Chairman & Chief Cardiologist of SKY Hospital happily announced that people in various category of the society (poor or rich) can now avail high standard of heart care (both interventional and surgical) free of charge at SKY Hospital under the above schemes and through reimbursement process (for Government Employees and their family members).
