SEACO extends greetings to people of the state on the occasion of Emoinu

South East Asia Cultural Organization (SEACO) today in a press statement extended its greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Emoinu.
The press statement signed by Tanu Wahengbam, Secretary, Women Development of SEACO said that Manipuri society has its culture and tradition since early period. Due to this the culture of Manipur is respected by the rest of the world. But the culture and tradition of the state has been affected the by the influence of other religions. SEACO has been taking up initiatives in order to preserve the unique culture of the state.
It further said that the Manipuris have been celebrating Emoinu as Goddess of Wealth since time immemorial. The statement also appealed to the people of the state to celebrate Emoinu in a proper way.
